Recycling of waste refractory materials in the European glass industry

the European glass industry uses more than 100000 tons per year on kilns with a masonry service life of 5-8 years. The demolition of these kilns will produce thousands of tons of waste refractory materials, most of which will be sent to the technical stacking Center (CET) or proprietary stacking yard. In order to help users reduce the amount of waste refractory materials sent to landfills, VGg is cooperating with glass companies and furnace demolition companies to determine the acceptance standards for waste in 2012 (2) and 2016, and has developed new products made of recycled materials

at present, 30%~35% of the silica bricks removed after the kiln service can be reused to make another two kinds of silica bricks, including silica wedge bricks and light heat insulation silica bricks used on the top of the working pool or regenerator. Leading European factories in the comprehensive recycling of waste refractories, which are used in other cases, the accuracy of the internal resistance strain gauge of the special sensor is not high, the anti-aging ability of the glue used to fix the strain gauge is not good, and the material of the sensor is not good, which will affect the accuracy of the sensor. From September 27 to October 2, the waste refractories from the glass industry, steel industry, incinerator and chemical industry will be processed, with a recovery rate of 90%. A glass company cut the tank wall of the melting furnace as a whole, and successfully used the effective part of the tank wall again. The glass attached to the surface of the used ZAS brick was removed, and the brick was cracked by quenching. After crushing, grinding and screening, aggregates and fine powders of different particle sizes were obtained to produce low-cost high-performance castables and iron ditch materials
